Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer BLUE0479 Telford, Shropshire Salary £22,000 - £27,000

Our client began production in Telford, Shropshire in 1991 and owes its reputation for building outstanding quality power tools to the drive and determination for excellence that began over 90 years ago as a manufacturer of electric motors.

They now have an opportunity available for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join them to work in their Production Engineering department.

Within this role you will be required to ensure that projects are completed within appropriate timescales while implementing KPIs and minimising downtime of machines to meet company objectives. Communicating with the Engineering Supervisor, you will report on the progress of project work and ensure that any delays to project work that may threaten production are reported and dealt with promptly.

You must also take responsibility for updates to the MAP system to ensure process times are correct on the system taking into account improvements that have been implemented within the work centre. Making certain that relevant Production Engineering systems are put in place, maintained and updated correctly and in a timely manner, you will also provide support to other departments when necessary.

Candidates for this role must have proven experience within a similar capacity and will ideally hold a degree or equivalent in mechanical and/or production engineering. You must have experience in advanced multi head metal cutting machinery techniques and a proven background within a high volume-manufacturing maintenance environment. You should have an understanding of 5s, Kaizan and TPM and be capable of understanding complex engineering/electrical drawings.
